A faun and a Flute

Description

This is the best photo we got of the Faun costume. It was only supposed to be about 75 degrees that day, but instead it was 90. I ditched the costume after a couple of hours 'cause it was so hot.

BTW, I'm playing a Clarke Woodstock tin whistle. It was supposed to be a Sweetone, but the seller sent me a Woodstock. Ah well. Sounded great anyway.

Notes on costume:

Legs are made from fur fabric. Front of thighs are padded, hock is not. The hock is simply shaped that way.

Hooves were made using this tutorial: [link]

Recommendation: DO NOT USE CAR BONDO. It's smelly, hard to work with, and fell apart within a few hours. Instead I would recommend something like Rigid Wrap. Form it around the wire mesh base. I think it would probably work better, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Trust me, I will.

Shirt: Green tank top beneath a faux-suede top. Laces up the sides.

HEY! LISTEN!

BETTER COSTUME IS BETTER. I think.
